Vintage 1990s DeLong MLK High School Varsity Jacket | XL
A remarkable piece of Detroit school history, this circa 1990–1992 DeLong varsity jacket was made for a principal of Martin Luther King Jr. Senior High School.
Rendered in bold gold and black, the jacket features a chenille “K” letter patch at the chest, basketball motif across the back, striped rib-knit trim, snap front and personalized embroidery reading “Dr. Sandra Robinson Principal.”
The standout detail is the dramatic black zippered hood/cape collar embroidered “M.L. King” — an unusual construction that transforms the traditional varsity silhouette and gives the jacket tremendous visual presence.
